Thank you to everyone who participated in the first “You be the Judge” bi-weekly contest by voting for your favorite painting! The votes have been tallied and the results are in. The three paintings that received the highest vote count have been awarded a “digital ribbon” indicating that they are now a finalist in the upcoming Grand Prize round at the end of the contest. Each of these artists will also have the option of choosing one free instructional art video download (Drawing, Value, Color or Edges).
As I mentioned before, only one painting per artist can make it to the Grand Prize round, so any other entries submitted by these first three finalists will not be included in the remaining bi-weekly contests. There are still many opportunities for artists to enter, with three bi-weekly contests remaining. Thank you to all of the artists who have submitted their work so far. I’ve enjoyed looking at each of your paintings and look forward to seeing more incredible work in the weeks to come.
We’re now onto our second bi-weekly contest. I’ve posted fifteen new paintings and now it’s up to you to decide who the winners will be by voting for your favorite. Voting for this group of paintings will continue for two weeks and will end on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:59 pm EST.
Below each painting you will find the artist’s name, title, dimensions and medium. There’s also an assigned number for each painting which matches the number and description that you will find in the voting box at the bottom of this page.
Once you’ve viewed all of the paintings and are ready to vote for your favorite, simply follow the instructions at the bottom of this page to cast your vote. Keep in mind that only one vote is allowed per computer, so make it count! At the end of the two week period I’ll add up the totals and award three more digital ribbons to the paintings that receive the highest number of votes.
On March 5th, I’ll post another 15 paintings from the entries that I’ve received so far and viewers will again have the opportunity to be the “Judge” by voting for their favorite.
Thanks so much to everyone who has participated so far by submitting their artwork and taking part in the voting process!
